Earthdawn
I have been playing in an Earthdawn campaign for some time now. I have learned quite a lot about the system and the game itself. I still remember sitting through an introductory demo at Origins the year FASA released it, but that was long ago.
FASA is no longer makinKung Fu Fighting
Ok so I bought this game on impulse and I have yet to play it, so I cant say much except for the fact I like the artwork and the rules seem solid. It has the right feel of the over-the-top Kung Fu movies I used to watch on Saturdays after the monster movie of the week (or was that before?). Either way it looks like fun and I have to say that rules seem easier than "Lunch Money" as well. National Games Week is coming up and I have to say that I think I'll have to get a game in soon.
Federation Commander
Federation Commander (FC) is a great game in its own right. In many ways Star Fleet Battles (SFB) is also great, but they seem to excel in different areas. FC gives more of a "you are the Captain" feel, while SFB is very much a simulator where you are the captain, science officer, doctor and engineer all at once. FC plays quickly enough to get an entire game done in about three or four hours. The game has two "scales" and they are "squadron scale" and "fleet scale". Squadron scale is intended for smaller engagements (1-on-1 up to about six ships), and fleet scale is anything larger. Either one can be used depending on time/
All Things Fun
All Things Fun is a good family oriented store that sells all manner of games and toys that you would not find in Wal-Mart, Target and Toys-R-Us. They specialize in items that have a much smaller print/production run and target audience. They have a large selection of comic books,
